Terms of Use
Last updated: 8 November 2026
These terms apply to the Quext app and service (“Quext”), provided by Igor Garybaldi (“we”, “us”). By installing Quext or entering an invite code, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Quext.
1. The beta
Quext is an early, free beta available by invitation. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may end the beta at any time.
2. Your invite code
Your invite code is personal. It works on one Mac and must not be shared, sold or published. We may revoke a code that is misused.
3. Usage limits
Each account has a monthly usage allowance, and the service as a whole has a monthly budget. When either runs out, Quext stops answering until the next month. Limits may change during the beta.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Quext for anything illegal, harmful or abusive, or to process content you have no right to use;
- send automated or bulk requests, or use Quext’s server from anything other than the Quext app;
- try to get around the usage limits, access other users’ data, or disrupt, probe or reverse engineer the service;
- break OpenAI’s usage policies, which apply to the text you send.
5. Your content
The text you send and the results you receive are yours. You give us only the permission needed to process your text to produce results, as described in the Privacy Policy. We don’t store your text.
6. Results may be wrong
Results are generated by AI and can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Check anything that matters before relying on it, and don’t use Quext as a substitute for professional translation or advice in legal, medical, financial or similar matters.
7. No warranty
Quext is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of Quext. Because Quext is free, our total liability is limited to zero euros, except where the law does not allow such a limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using Quext at any time and delete your data in Settings → Account → Delete my data. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or when the beta ends.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. If you keep using Quext after a change, you accept the updated terms.
